Question:

Cognitive Readiness can be viewed as part of the advanced thinking skills that make leaders ready to confront whether new and complex problems they might face during Industry 4.0 era. In this era the leaders should be prepared to face ongoing dynamic, ill-defined and unpredictable challenges in the digital, highly disruptive and VUCA-driven business environment.
1. Benefits and importance of Intuition

Answer:

Introduction:
Intuition is an inner feeling that provides judgment and understanding without rational justification. Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is a way of changing how people think and behave to help them achieve their desired outcomes. On the other hand, DISC is a model that provides a common language that people use in understanding themselves. This report discusses the benefits and importance of intuition, linking them to DISC and NLP.
Benefits of Intuition
Understanding the NLP and DISC Meta programs helps individuals to deal well with their intuition. The benefits that leaders reap from developing their intuition include enhancing their creativity. According to the DISC model, in this case, a person sees the big picture thus placing emphasis on accomplishing the results by being creative (Bear and Rand, 2016, pp.938). Intuition opens the mind and makes a person start communicating well with their conscious as suggested by the DISC model. This leads to spring up of creative thoughts and ideas that enable people to deal with different situations.
Intuition also helps a leader to sense when things are not working well with their subordinates or co-workers. Sensing allows individuals to twist their tactics based on the current behavior of the people and what they are saying (Claxton, Owen and Smith, 2015, pp.64). Additionally, intuition assists leaders identify their primary purpose and mission by following their dreams and being clear in what they want to attain. Intuition also increases self-knowledge. A person’s personality resides in their subconscious (Miles and Smith, 2014, pp.611). Leaders who learn to trust their intuition are more effective in actualizing their true desires. This helps them focus on the future rather than the past happenings or downfalls.
Importance of Intuition
Intuition is important in the way it provides the pattern of styles of working in the NLP Meta program. By understanding this pattern, a leader can figure out their most suitable work environments. For example, independence is among the 5 NLP programs whereby some people are happy working on their own while others work well as a group (Elbanna, Child and Dayan, 2013, pp.154). It enables leaders to seek possibility and necessity in NLP Meta program. Some people are motivated just by necessity instead of what they really want, thus, they do something because they have no other choice. This pushes a leader to work hard in achieving the goals of the organization.
DISC may help leaders to learn more on how to handle different people and handle situations which they perceive to be difficult. NLP helps the leaders to understand how to run different business strategies by replicating successful business models, hence making the leaders be resourceful all the time.
Conclusion:
Intuition is the ability to know something or understand it immediately based on a person’s feeling. Intuition may benefit leaders in the following ways; enhancing their creativity, results in better decision making, and increase of knowledge and understanding which enables leaders to handle different types of situation in an organization. Intuition is important since it helps leaders to know the type of environment they can comfortably work in.
