What is design thinking?
It refers to the critical thinking approach taken in order to address the sustainability challenges (Kurucz et al., 2017).
What is Innovation
It is the process of translating a particular idea or any invention into any good or service which in turn creates a value and for which consumers would pay (Mahr, Lievens & Blazevic, 2014)
Relation between innovation and design mind-set
By means of assessing the technological possibilities, the needs and preferences of the customers and the requirements for success of business along with combing all their key elements, design mind-set allows the process of innovation to prosper (Nielsen & Stovang, 2015).
The process of design thinking
Empathize- Learn your audiences and the ones you are designing for.
Define- Construct a view-point on the basis of user needs and preferences.
Ideate- Come up with some creative solutions
Prototype- Build up a representation about one or more ideas
Test- Return to original user group and test the ideas for the feedbacks.
What is design mind-set?
It is the well-established set of attitude that is held by someone. It is the latest skill in the series of future productive workplace (Elsbach & Stigliani, 2018).
Design mind-set in context to innovation
Innovation and change is not a technical problem. Instead, it is a mind-set. Mind-set is a way of thinking something and innovation starts inside one’s head. Innovation design mind-set is a set of mind that orientates a human towards innovative activities (Kleinsmann, Valkenburg & Slujis, 2017). The innovators share a common growth mind-set.
