Digital Forensics and Wearable Devices
In the twenty-first century, the application of digital forensic and wearable devices is on the rise as they are effective. Activity trackers are the best example of wearable devices.  Currently, wearable devices have gained popularity as the technology progress since they are used in various ways. The activity trackers and smartwatch had gained popularity since many people want to stay fit and healthy to avoid lifestyle diseases. On the other hand, digital forensic has help investigative agencies in the investigation as well as recovery of material related to cybercrime using digital devices found on the place of crime. This essay will explore the advantages of wearable devices and digital forensics.
Wearable devices improve personal responsibility and self-monitoring since one can be able to access his or her individual health data without the aid of a healthcare practitioner (James, & Petrone, 2016). Data that was only available to doctors and nurses such us resting heart rate, HVR, and heartbeat among other information are successfully delivered to an individual iPhone for instance.
Wearable devices are useful in sensitizing an individual about his or her operation rates. Most devices have the capability to check health metrics which enables people to know how their day to day activities are affecting their bodies (Tong, 2018). For instance, biostrap is a device for physical exercise and also show how the exercise and drinking of alcohol at maybe night’s party affect’s one’s health.
Of late people are concern about their heart rate and people have to need to monitor their heart rate as frequently as possible (James, & Petrone, 2016). Hence, many fitness trackers have the ability to monitor heart rate. The Biostrap enable to calculate relaxing heart rate. Also, the RHR is a much better sign of general health, as it checks how one’s lifestyle is affecting one’s standard heart health.
Wearable devices help one understanding his or her health compared to averages.  The importance of having a health platform is that it enables medical practitioners to better know the health status of every person in details (Tong, 2018). For example, as the use of Biostrap technology spreads, doctors will be able to know the overall trends as well as the averages of individual’s health across a number of demographics.
Wearable technology enables people to track or monitor their day to day activities. The wristband, dual sensor, and shoe-clip make wearable devices useful (McCann, Bryson, & Textile Institute, 2009). By tracking as much motion as possible, Biostrap can recognize as well as record new operations, eventually enabling people better know how their heart rate is affected by various activities
On the other hand, digital forensic is useful as it is possible to prevent cybercrime through the application of various computer software (Casey, & Altheide, 2010). It is done via sensing critical data in the data packets, email address tracing, and IP address tracing. This method is referred to as branded computer forensics.
Digital forensic help in knowing the inflict of mortality through examining the postmortem corrections, burns, and scalds, blunt stings onto the body, as well as the scene of death (Sammons, 2016). In case it is an abrupt natural mortality, the case is assessed through the medical examiner or coroner.
Digital forensic is useful in assessing the place of accident to know the car mood, eye witnesses, tire and else marks, and computing the car speed among others (Casey, & Altheide, 2010). This help in knowing the cause of an accident based on facts. Also, it determines the alcohol content in an individual body through assessing the else body liquid and blood.
In conclusions, this essay has discussed the advantages of digital forensic and wearable devices. They are beneficial since they give real time data about a person’s health. People should adopt this technology since most wearable devices are able to extract information from the human body through the use of sensors without the help of professionals such as doctors.
