Question:
AMP and Reliability Management
You have been appointed as the Continuing Airworthiness Manager for a CAMO within a start-up airline, operating 25 brand new VH-registered A330 NEO aircraft. The first one is arriving in one month and the rest at 2-week intervals.
As the Continuing Airworthiness Manager, you are responsible for the establishment and management of the Approved Maintenance Program (AMP) and Reliability Program for the fleet of aircraft operated by the airline.
Describe what the AMP document that will be submitted for approval
what are the key elements,
how it will be structured
what are the key source documents for the AMP
Note that you are describing elements of the AMP, not producing an AMP.
In your opinion, how would you know if the reliability program was working..? What minimum level of reliability would you strive to achieve and why..?
If each aircraft in your fleet had a daily utilisation of 10 hrs / 7 cycles, then, using the information below, what will happen to Airline ASK during the 7thyear of operation …? (meaning the calendar year after the first aircraft accrues 6 years in service) What strategy would you recommend to manage it…?
Assume that all inspections occur on the first day of each check (meaning: ignore the check durations when counting calendar time)
Using a suitable calendar (recommend an excel file such as a shift calendar template from the internet), visually map out the heavy maintenance plan for the 3rdquarter of the 7th
