Question:

We can write about something that real exist or imagine. I choose to write an apology about the necessity of art and more specific music in a Global human community. The way that has to be written is with the same way that Socrates apologized to the court (by questioning them).
Answer:
Introduction :
Expressions of inimitable and matchless forms of emotions and imaginations which are way beyond what the ears can hear, the eyes can see and the mind can conceive, is epitomized and exemplified by art. Art can take the shape of either graceful performances utilizing bodily movements or the mellifluous vibrations of the vocal chords in the best possible way to render the audience speechless, or, lively and vibrant masterpieces created with patterned strokes of the marker on a canvas to redefine imagination by pushing boundaries to unimaginable extents (Blacking). It is believed that the Almighty has created this artistic masterpiece called the universe, an eclectic collection of uniquely beautiful elements. The Earth being the most beautiful of all the elements as it has been dedicated for us humans to cherish, to be appreciative of and to dwell in its harmony. While for us humans, our creations of art are but derivatives of the inspirations taken from the variety of aesthetic aspects embedded in the nature (Horden).
Our imaginations and capabilities to be artistic might as well be limited by what we see around us, the fact that we can meander through the conglomerate of divine creations to give shape to what each one of us can envisage different from everyone else, adds the touch of novelty to our human forms of art. Of all the modes of expressing the beauty of nature through art, the form which involves generating a tantalizing effect following an aural route to convey the feelings, music, shall be taken up for elaborating on an apology stating its vitality in human global community. Alongside, it shall also be given due consideration as a virtue to lay down one’s life.
As humans advanced ahead in time, they came to be called as having achieved the faculty of being civilized. They became civilized not simply owing to the fact that they had discovered ways to make life run smoothly and comfortably. They became civilized, as the human element which has gained currency in today’s context, had gradually started showing itself to be the defining features of the very essence of being a human, as separate from all other creatures. Those defining features are emotion, intuition and creativity (Gentry). Music finds an expression of all those defining features, all at once. The musical compositions which humans create comprises of notes and elements taken from the sounds produced in nature by natural elements, ensealed with a touch of human emotion. It could be agony or euphoria, valorization or admiration. This why music is so central to the global human community.
Music has no language, even if musical compositions have. Music is deep, it emanates from the depth of the heart, to delve deep into the hearts of the audience. Or else, the very purpose of music get defeated. Music reinstates the love that human beings nurture for nature, and the fact that creation incites creativity, like a madness which is harmonious. But then, what we humans have made of music is menacingly indicative of the degeneration of the race (Storr). Musical Compositions which connect to the human emotions is increasingly coming under the threat of being redundant. Music has assumed to be a means for furthering the crude and very basic material requisites of human life, which is being reflected in the phenomena of a song reaching at the peak of its popularity in no time, and then relegated to the avenues of obliviousness, in no time (Clarke et al.).
Music, from the time of its inception been a voice to what the spirit felt, and what the spirit ought to be. It had an element of spirituality in it, which is getting eroded, as the lust for prioritizing the physical pleasures over the spiritual ones have evolved as a generic culture (Barrett, Margaret and Westerlund). This must push one to reconsider the long held, time tested conception that human beings are superior to the animals who fend for themselves, and care not much about anything apart from the basic survival instincts. How can we as human beings the consider ourselves superior to animals when our preferences are no different from those animals whom we consider lowly placed in comparison to us! Are we then really superior to them! This rhetorical needs consideration in order to get to the answer as to why and how the spiritual legacy of music is gradually and gradually detaching itself from the element of spirituality. What used to be therapeutic is now a narcotic for the lunatics humans have reduced themselves to. This confession I make to stress on the importance of music to be redeemed of the bad shape it has taken today, for the sake of the global community comprising of human beings.
